Parlights recently finished completely replacing the house light control system in the Jepson Auditorium at the University of Richmond. The new system consists of Strand Vision.net control equipment and control stations, as well as two custom-built control panels at the Stage Manager’s and Control Booth locations. The new equipment brings the architectural controls in the Auditorium up to date, and adds control options that weren’t possible when the original system was designed. The custom-built panels, for example, now allow the staff to select from many different operating modes depending on how the space is being used – rehearsal, show, or clean-up, for example. The panels can also create and store custom lighting presets on the fly. We’re obviously very proud of what we accomplished on this project. More important to us, though, is the fact that our customer is happy with the solution we’ve provided.
