Hands on Training

This year’s session will be an afternoon packed with makeup techniques, tips and tricks.  This session is perfect for teachers, community theatre groups and beginning drama students!  Demonstrating on a model, Roger starts with the absolute basics and works to the completed stage face.  Students map a design on paper, and then apply it to their model.  Roger offers help and answers questions as they work.

With mastery of basic techniques under their belt, the class watches a demo on old age techniques–veins, hand, wrinkles, age spots, etc–and applies what they have learned to their models under the watchful eye of a professional artist.  By the end of the class it will appear that our models have aged 75 years, and the artists will have gained knowledge, experience, and confidence.

Each participant will bring another person to be their model.  Models do not apply makeup, simply sit to be “made up”.  Photo releases will be required for participants.  Each student will receive a packet of supplies to take home.  Register early — last year’s class sold out quickly!
